Le Mans (France) is known worldwide for its epic 24-hour endurance race track. However, not only cars compete there, the legendary Bugatti ring hosts thousands of skaters just for one day every summer!

The format of this race is unique. The objective is to cover the greatest possible distance in 24 hours from 14:00 on Saturday to 14:00 on Sunday, taking turns in teams or solo. This year these days are 29-30 of June. The start itself stands out: like car drivers who ran after the starting shot to their cars parked on the straight a hundred years ago, now skaters run in socks to put their skates on and only then are crossing the start line.

The race takes place in any weather and could be stopped only in special cases. Both the world fastest professional squads and amateur teams who are determined to test their strength are counting laps here. It’s the largest gathering of skaters in Europe – cosmopolitan, folk and jovial.

The Lithuanian Inline Skating Team of 2010 challenged themselves in the Bugatti ring, completing 158 laps (661.2 km) in 24 hours. Now ten Lithuanian skaters will continue this adventure with specially created Vytis LT Team and Lithuanian flag will fly again at Le Mans after a 14-year break.
